Greater Bay to operate Hong Kong – Sapporo during 2024/2025 winter holiday season

Greater Bay Airlines 737-800
Greater Bay Airlines is expanding its Japan network rapidly.

Between December 20, 2024, and January 1, 2025, Greater Bay Airlines will operate daily flights between Hong Kong and Sapporo New Chitose.

The flights will operate as follows:

  • HB382 / Hong Kong – Sapporo New Chitose / 9:15AM – 3:00PM
  • HB383 / Sapporo New Chitose – Hong Kong / 4:00PM – 9:10PM

Greater Bay Airlines will use its sole aircraft type, the 189-seater all-economy class Boeing 737-800, on the route.

While the flights will, at this point, only operate during the peak winter season, previously, the airline has been reported to be considering launching regular scheduled flights on the route as part of its Japan expansion. Until the end of 2024 summer schedule, Greater Bay only served Tokyo Narita and Osaka Kansai. However, in late October, it launched Hong Kong – Yonago, and it plans to launch flights to Tokushima and Sendai later this year.

The Sapporo – Hong Kong route is already served year-round by Cathay Pacific Airways and Hong Kong Airlines. The former will operate up to three daily flights during the peak winter season and the latter is planning to increase service on the route to daily.
