Greater Bay Airlines to launch Hong Kong – Tokushima in mid-November 2024

Greater Bay Airlines 737-800
Greater Bay Airlines operated charters on the Hong Kong – Tokushima route earlier this year.

Greater Bay Airlines will launch scheduled flights between Hong Kong and Tokushima on November 16, 2024. The route will operate three times a week as follows:

  • HB352 / Hong Kong – Tokushima / 10:50AM – 3:20PM / Mon, Wed, Sat
  • HB353 / Tokushima – Hong Kong / 4:20PM – 8:05PM / Mon, Wed, Sat

Greater Bay Airlines will operate the route using the sole type in its fleet, the all-economy class, 189-seat Boeing 737-800.

The scheduled route will follow a series of charter flights between the two cities that the airline operated in July and August of this year. While Cathay Dragon used to fly to Tokushima in the past, currently there are no scheduled flights between Hong Kong and the city on the island of Shikoku.

“GBA’s direct flights can now bring greater convenience to travelers who no longer need to take … a transfer flight from major cities such as Osaka and Tokyo,” said the airline in a statement.

Greater Bay Airlines’ existing Japan scheduled route network includes flights from Hong Kong to Tokyo Narita and Osaka Kansai. The airline is also set to launch Hong Kong – Yonago in October and Hong Kong – Sendai in December 2024.
