Last week, Asiana Airlines started operating charter flights between Seoul Incheon and Yamaguchi Ube. The first flight took place on January 8, 2025, and the last flight is scheduled to take place on February 2, 2025. Until then, the company plans to operate three weekly flights as follows:
- OZ1363 / Seoul Incheon – Yamaguchi Ube / 9:30AM – 10:55AM / Wed, Fri, Sun
- OZ1353 / Yamaguchi Ube – Seoul Incheon / 12:05PM – 1:40PM / Wed, Fri, Sun
The company operates the flights using Airbus A321neo aircraft with 188 seats including eight in business and 180 in economy class.
While the company also operated charters to Yamaguchi Ube in 2024, they were limited to inbound visitors. This is the first time in approximately six years for the charters on the route to also carry outbound visitors from Japan to South Korea.
Yamaguchi Ube Airport does not have any scheduled international service. The airport is only served by scheduled flights from Tokyo Haneda offered by ANA, JAL, and StarFlyer.
