
From January 28, 2025, Toki Air will reduce the frequency of its flights between Niigata and Sendai from the current double daily to two flights on four days of the week, the airline announced on October 28, 2024.
Once reduced, the flights will operate Friday through Monday, allowing passengers to spend the weekend or an extended weekend in either of the two cities:
- BV201 / Niigata – Sendai / 7:35AM – 8:15AM / Mon, Fri, Sat, Sun
- BV203 / Niigata – Sendai / 7:00PM – 7:40PM / Mon, Fri, Sat, Sun
- BV202 / Sendai – Niigata / 8:45AM – 9:30AM / Mon, Fri, Sat, Sun
- BV202 / Sendai – Niigata / 8:10PM – 8:55PM / Mon, Fri, Sat, Sun
Toki Air first launched the route on April 26, 2024, with two rotations a day on five days of the week. It increased it to double daily from July 12, 2024. No other airline connects the two cities.
Currently, Toki Air operates a fleet of two ATR 72s equipped with 72 seats on three routes. In addition to Sendai, it also connects Niigata with Sapporo Okadama and Nagoya Chubu. Another aircraft, an ATR 42, is expected to join the airline’s fleet shortly.
