
In addition to its scheduled routes to Japan, Greater Bay Airlines will operate charters from Hong Kong to Sendai, Tokushima, and Yonago in July and August 2024. For the time being, the airline filed schedule for 14 roundtrips on the three routes.
According to AeroRoutes, the Hong Kong – Sendai route will operate every five days between July 17 and August 11, 2024. The Hong Kong – Tokushima route will operate with the same frequency but between July 18 and August 12, 2024. The Hong Kong – Yonago route will be operated on August 17 and 22, 2024.
Greater Bay Airlines will operate the charters using the sole aircraft type in its fleet, the Boeing 737-800 with 189 economy class seats.
The flights will be operated on behalf of a Hong Kong tour operator and are not available for sale to the general public.
Currently, there are no scheduled flights between the three Japanese airports and Hong Kong. That said, between December 2023 and February 2024, Hong Kong Airlines operated seasonal scheduled flights to Yonago. Additionally, Cathay Dragon used to fly to Tokushima and Sendai in the past.
Greater Bay Airlines serves two destinations in Japan, Tokyo Narita and Osaka Kansai, with multiple daily scheduled flights.
