China Southern Airlines will increase the frequency of its Changchun – Tokyo Narita route from the current three to four weekly flights from September 22, 2024, until the end of the 2024 summer schedule, as well as during the 2025 summer schedule. During the 2024 winter schedule, the flights will operate twice a week.
Between September 22, 2024, and October 26, 2024, and from March 30, 2025, until the end of the 2025 summer schedule, the route will operate as follows:
- CZ623 / Changchun – Tokyo Narita / 8:05AM – 11:55AM / Tue, Thu, Sat, Sun*
- CZ624 / Tokyo Narita – Changchun / 1:25PM – 3:30PM / Tue, Thu, Sat, Sun*
* Sunday rotation to operate from September 22, 2024.
During the 2024 winter schedule, the route will operate with slightly different departure and arrival times as follows:
- CZ623 / Changchun – Tokyo Narita / 8:20AM – 11:55AM / Thu, Sat
- CZ624 / Tokyo Narita – Changchun / 1:25PM – 3:30PM / Thu, Sat
China Southern plans to use Airbus A321 aircraft with 179 seats including 12 in business and 167 in economy class on the route throughout the period for which it is now available for booking.
No other airline offers flights between Tokyo and Changchun.
Other cities from which China Southern serves Narita Airport include Dalian, Guangzhou, Harbin, Shanghai Pudong, and Shenyang. The airline also plans to resume Zhengzhou and Wuhan – Narita routes in late September 2024. Separately, China Southern also offers Beijing Daxing and Guangzhou – Tokyo Haneda flights.
