Overview

Niigata Airport serves the second largest city in Japan’s Chubu region, Niigata. With the city being easily accessible from Tokyo using bullet train, the airport lacks connection with the capital and mainly sees domestic service from other major Japanese cities like Osaka and Sapporo. There is also limited international service to destinations in Asia. In the past, the airport also used to be connected to the Russian Far East.
