Toki Air will operate a training flight from its base, Niigata Airport to Nagoya Chubu and back on August 11, 2024, the airline announced earlier today.

The flight will be done in preparation of future launch of scheduled flights on the route. According to the airline, the purpose of the flight is practical training related to ground handling and refueling.

For the time being, the flight is scheduled to operate as follows:

  • Niigata – Nagoya Chubu / 9:30AM – 10:50AM
  • Nagoya Chubu – Niigata / 1:45PM – 3:00PM

Toki Air launched operations at the end of January 2024 using a pair of ATR 72s and since then grew its network to include double daily flights from Niigata to Sapporo Okadama and Sendai. Going forward, the airline is eyeing launching Niigata – Nagoya and Kobe flights, as well as flights to Sado, an island off the coast of Niigata which had its gold caves added to the UNESCO World Heritage list earlier this year.
