Toki Air is based in Niigata and operates a pair of ATR 72s.

On May 6, 2024, start-up airline Toki Air transported its 10,000th passenger. The 10,000th passenger flew on the airline’s flight BV101 from Niigata to Sapporo Okadama.

Toki Air launched operations on January 31, 2024, using its two 72-seater ATR 72s. Initially, the airline flew between Niigata and Sapporo eight times a week (twice a day on four days of the week). At the beginning of April 2024, it added two extra weekly rotations on the route. On April 26, 2024, Toki Air launched its second route, Niigata – Sendai. Like the Sapporo route, the Sendai route is operated twice every Monday, Wednesday, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday.

Considering the schedule above, the airline operated approximately 280 flights to date, offering approximately 20,000 seats in total. With that, between launching operations on January 31, 2024, and transporting its 10,000th passenger on May 6, 2024, the airline operated at an average load factor of approximately 50%.
