Korean Air to launch Seoul Incheon – Kumamoto in late November 2024

Korean Air plans to serve Kumamoto using Airbus A321neos.

Korean Air will launch daily flights between Seoul Incheon and Kumamoto on November 24, 2024. The departure and arrival times will vary depending on the day of the week:

  • KE777 / Seoul Incheon – Kumamoto / 2:15PM – 3:50PM / Wed, Fri
  • KE777 / Seoul Incheon – Kumamoto / 3:50PM – 5:25PM / Mon, Tue, Thu, Sat
  • KE777 / Seoul Incheon – Kumamoto / 4:50PM – 6:20PM / Sun
  • KE778 / Kumamoto – Seoul Incheon / 4:50PM – 6:50PM / Wed, Fri
  • KE778 / Kumamoto – Seoul Incheon / 6:25PM – 8:30PM / Mon, Tue, Thu, Sat
  • KE778 / Kumamoto – Seoul Incheon / 7:20PM – 9:20PM / Sun

The airline plans to operate the route using Airbus A321neo aircraft with 182 seats including eight in business and 174 in economy class.

While the resumption will mark Korean Air’s return on the route for the first time since terminating it approximately 27 years in 1997, the South Korean low-cost T’Way currently already offers daily flights between Seoul and Kumamoto. Additionally, Asiana is set to launch the route on November 7, 2024, albeit with only three weekly flights.

Korean Air’s other destinations in Kyushu include Fukuoka, which it plans to increase to four daily later this month, and Kagoshima, served five times a week.
