Asiana Airlines to relaunch Seoul Incheon – Kumamoto in early November 2024

Asiana Airlines will operate the Kumamoto flights using the A321neo.

Asiana Airlines will relaunch flights between Seoul Incheon and Kumamoto on November 7, 2024. The airline operated the route until 2016 when it suspended it due to a major earthquake that hit the region and hasn’t resumed it since.

The flights will operate three times a week as follows:

  • OZ160 / Seoul Incheon – Kumamoto / 11:50AM – 1:20PM / Mon, Thu, Sat
  • OZ159 / Kumamoto – Seoul Incheon / 2:20PM – 3:50PM / Mon, Thu, Sat

Asiana will use Airbus A321neo aircraft with 188 seats including eight in business and 180 in economy class.

The route is already served daily by the South Korean low-cost airline T’Way.

In addition to returning to Kumamoto, Asiana Airlines is also planning to expand its presence in Kyushu by gradually increasing the frequency of Seoul – Miyazaki to daily. The airline also serves Fukuoka, Nagoya Chubu, Osaka Kansai, Sapporo New Chitose, Sendai, Tokyo Haneda, and Tokyo Narita.
