Jeju Air to launch Muan – Nagasaki in early December 2024

Jeju Air will use Boeing 737-800s on the route.

Jeju Air will launch flights between Muan, a city in the southern part of South Korea, and Nagasaki on December 10, 2024. From then on, the flights will operate three times a week as follows:

  • 7C1831 / Muan – Nagasaki / 8:45AM – 10:05AM / Tue, Thu, Sat
  • 7C1832 / Nagasaki – Muan / 10:55AM – 12:15PM / Tue, Thu, Sat

The airline plans to operate the route using Boeing 737-800 aircraft.

Currently, there is no non-stop link between the Japanese city and South Korea; China Eastern Airlines’ twice weekly flights from Shanghai Pudong are the only international service to Nagasaki. However, before Jeju Air’s launch, on October 27, 2024, Korean Air plans to relaunch Seoul Incheon – Nagasaki, which it last operated in 2013 (Air Seoul operated the route afterwards, until 2019).

Similarly, there are no scheduled flights between Muan and Japan at this point. That said, in the past, StarFlyer operated multiple charters between Kitakyushu and the South Korean city.
