JAL Cargo to add Tokyo Narita – Dalian route from mid-June 2024

JAL Cargo 767-300ER Freighter
JAL Cargo operates a fleet of converted 767-300ER freighters out of Tokyo Narita.

On June 7, 2024, JAL announced it will expand its dedicated freighter operations to include Tokyo Narita – Dalian. The new route will be operated once a week from June 18, 2024, as follows:

  • JL6779 / Tokyo Narita – Dalian / 9:20AM – 11:40AM / Tue
  • JL6780 / Dalian – Tokyo Narita / 1:50PM – 5:55PM / Tue

The route will be operated by JAL Cargo’s sole aircraft type, the Boeing 767-300ER. The airline currently operates two airframes converted from JAL’s passenger 767s. It expects to add one more to its fleet in FY2025 (April 1, 2025 – March 31, 2026).

Dalian will be JAL Cargo’s sixth international destination following Taipei Taoyuan, Seoul Incheon, Shanghai Pudong, Hong Kong, and the most recently added Tianjin. JAL resumed dedicated freighter operations in February 2024 after a 13-year hiatus.
