
On April 12, 2024, JAL announced it will start a dedicated freighter service between Tokyo Narita and Tianjin on April 20, 2024. JAL Cargo’s 767-300ER converted freighters will fly on the route five times per week.
The flight schedule will vary depending on the weekday:
- JL6777 / Tokyo Narita – Tianjin / 10:10AM – 12:55PM / Wed, Sat, Sun
- JL6777 / Tokyo Narita – Tianjin / 10:15AM – 1:00PM / Fri
- JL6777 / Tokyo Narita – Tianjin / 11:00AM – 1:45PM / Thu
- JL6778 / Tianjin – Tokyo Narita / 2:55PM – 7:10PM / Wed, Fri, Sun
- JL6778 / Tianjin – Tokyo Narita / 3:25PM – 7:40PM / Sat
- JL6778 / Tianjin – Tokyo Narita / 3:45PM – 8:00PM / Thu
Tianjin will be JAL Cargos’s fifth international destination since the airline resumed dedicated freighter service in February 2024 for the first time in 13 years. In addition to the route above, JAL Cargo operates the following routes during this summer schedule:
- Tokyo Narita – Taipei Taoyuan – Nagoya Chubu – Seoul Incheon – Tokyo Narita
- Tokyo Narita – Nagoya Chubu – Shanghai Pudong – Tokyo Narita
- Tokyo Narita – Shanghai Pudong – Tokyo Narita
- Tokyo Narita – Hong Kong – Tokyo Narita
JAL Cargo currently operates two Boeing 767-300ERs converted freighters, which JAL formerly used as passenger aircraft. It expects to receive one more aircraft at some point in FY2025 (April 1, 2025 – March 31, 2026).
