Starting from March 30, 2025, Finnair will increase the frequency of its Helsinki – Tokyo Narita flights to daily. During the 2024 winter schedule, i.e. from October 27, 2024, to March 30, 2025, the airline will operate the route three times a week, every Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday in the direction from Finland instead of the current six.

Next summer, the airline will add flights on Sundays in addition to the remaining six days of the week it operated this summer schedule and run the route as follows:

  • AY73 / Helsinki – Tokyo Narita / 5:45PM – 1:05PM+1
  • AY74 / Tokyo Narita – Helsinki / 11:05PM – 5:55AM+1

Finnair currently uses its less premium Airbus A350-900s with 321 seats including 30 in business, 26 in premium economy, and 265 in economny class on the route and plans to continue doing so during the coming winter and summer schedules too.

In addition to Narita, Finnair also serves Haneda daily year-round. Outside Tokyo, Finnair flies to Osaka Kansai (to be increased to daily next summer) and Nagoya (seasonal, to be increased next summer from last summer’s two weekly rotations).

The Haneda – Helsinki route is also served by JAL, five times a week in the summer and three times a week in the winter.
