
Currently, China Eastern Airlines operates two daily flights between Shanghai Pudong and Fukuoka. Starting from April 26 in the direction from China, the airline will add one more daily rotation, which will leave Shanghai in the evening, stay overnight in Fukuoka, and fly back in the morning.
With that, in the direction from China, the airline will offer the following flights:
- MU517 / Shanghai Pudong – Fukuoka / 9:50AM – 12:55PM
- MU5087 / Shanghai Pudong – Fukuoka / 1:50PM – 5:15PM
- MU531* / Shanghai Pudong – Fukuoka / 6:20PM – 8:50PM

- MU532* / Fukuoka – Shanghai Pudong / 9:30AM – 10:40AM
- MU518 / Fukuoka – Shanghai Pudong / 1:55PM – 3:10PM
- MU5088 / Fukuoka – Shanghai Pudong / 6:15PM – 7:20PM

All three daily flights are scheduled to be operated by Airbus A320 aircraft.
In addition to China Eastern, Star Alliance’s Air China offers five weekly and the Chinese low-cost Spring Airlines daily flights on the route.
China Eastern plans to increase capacity on other routes to Japan including in late April 2024 too. Routes from Shanghai that will see frequencies increased include Tokyo Haneda, Shizuoka, Nagoya Chubu, and Okayama.
