China Eastern Airlines will gradually increase the number of flights between Shanghai Pudong and Nagoya Chubu to reach 28 weekly rotations by April 26, 2024. With that, the airline’s capacity on the route will more than double.
Currently, China Eastern operates 11 weekly flights between Shanghai and Nagoya: the daily MU529/MU530 and the four weekly MU719/MU720. Starting on March 31, 2024, the former will turn daily.
Additionally, on April 23 and 26, 2024, respectively, China Eastern will add extra flights in the direction to Nagoya, MU291 and MU229. The return flights of these two rotations, MU292 and MU230, will start operations a day later, on April 24 and 27 respectively.
With the occasional exception, all of China Eastern’s flights on the Shanghai – Nagoya route are and will continue to be operated by Airbus A320 aircraft.
Once all four rotations are in service, the airline will offer the following flights from Shanghai to Nagoya:

- MU719* / Shanghai Pudong – Nagoya Chubu / 12:25PM – 4:00PM
- MU291** / Shanghai Pudong – Nagoya Chubu / 5:20PM – 8:50PM
- MU229*** / Shanghai Pudong – Nagoya Chubu / 6:10PM – 9:35PM

In addition to the above China Eastern Airlines flights, the airline’s wholly-owned subsidiary Shanghai Airlines will also continue to operate a daily rotation on the route. Three other airlines including Air China, Juneyao Air, and Spring Airlines, serve the Shanghai Pudong – Nagoya Chubu route.
