In the past, China Eastern used to serve Shizuoka with the 737-800.

Starting on April 29, 2024, China Eastern will increase the frequency of its Shanghai Pudong – Fukuoka route from the current two to four flights a week. The route was resumed at its current frequency in September 2023, after being suspended in February 2020 due to the pandemic.

Once the frequency is increased, the flights will operate as follows:

  • MU2019 / Shanghai Pudong – Shizuoka / 9:05AM – 12:40PM / Mon, Wed, Fri*, Sun*
  • MU2020 / Shizuoka – Shanghai Pudong / 1:40PM – 4:00PM / Mon, Wed, Fri*
  • MU2020 / Shizuoka – Shanghai Pudong / 1:40PM – 4:10PM / Sun*

* Frequency that will be newly added on top of the current schedule.

China Eastern will use Airbus A320 aircraft equipped with a total capacity of 158 passengers consisting of 8 recliners in business class and 150 economy class seats.

Shanghai Pudong is one of the two international destinations out of Shizuoka Airport that were resumed after the pandemic subsided. The other is Jeju Air’s daily service to Seoul Incheon Airport.
