Aero K appears to be set to launch flights between Cheongju and Ibaraki on December 3, 2024. While currently all listed as sold out, the flights have been added to the airline’s website as follows:
- RF384 / Cheongju – Ibaraki / 2:00PM – 4:05PM / Tue, Thu, Sat
- RF383 / Ibaraki – Cheongju / 5:00PM – 8:05PM/ Tue, Thu, Sat
The route is expected to be operated using all-economy class 180-seater Airbus A320-200 aircraft, the sole type in the airline’s fleet.
If Aero K launches the route as currently listed, Ibaraki will become its fourth destination in Japan from Cheongju after Tokyo Narita, Osaka Kansai, and Sapporo New Chitose, the last of which it will launch in late November 2024. The airline also operates scheduled Seoul – Tokyo Narita route and operated Cheongju – Hanamaki and Obihiro charters in the past.
Earlier this month, it signed an agreement with Sejong City in which the two parties agreed to work toward further expanding international service out of Cheongju Airport.
