H.I.S. will offer packaged tours including non-stop flights from Hanamaki to Cheongju and back as part of Hanamaki Airport’s 60th anniversary celebrations. The charters will be operated by the South Korean low-cost airline Aero K.

The tour participants will fly from Hanamaki to Cheongju on May 3, 2024, and return back to Japan on May 6, 2024.

According to HIS, the flight to Cheongju on May 3, 2024, is expected to depart Hanamaki between 10AM and 12PM and arrive between 1PM and 3PM. The return flight on May 6, 2024, is expected to depart Cheongju between 12PM and 2PM and arrive in Hanamaki between 2:30PM and 4:30PM.

AeroRoutes reported Aero K having filed the following flights, which appear to be the ferry flights but give a better idea of what the actual departure and arrival times of the flights with passengers onboard might be like:

  • RF384 / Cheongju – Hanamaki / 8:35AM – 10:40AM / May 3, 2024
  • RF383 / Hanamaki – Cheongju / 11:40AM – 2:00PM / May 6, 2024

Aero K will use Airbus A320 aircraft with 180 seats in economy class (the sole type in its fleet) on the route. While the charter will be the airline’s first time flying to Hanamaki, it already serves Japan in the form of scheduled flights from Cheongju to Tokyo Narita and Osaka Kansai. There are no scheduled flights between Hanamaki and South Korea.
