Thai VietJet will add a fifth-freedom Taipei Taoyuan – Naha segment to one of its existing Bangkok Suvarnabhumi – Taoyuan rotations from November 2, 2024. Once extended, the one-stop route between the capital of Thailand and Okinawa will operate daily as follows:

  • VZ568 / Taipei Taoyuan – Naha / 2:45PM – 5:05PM
  • VZ569 / Naha – Taipei Taoyuan / 6:05PM – 6:45PM
  • VZ569 / Taipei Taoyuan – Bangkok Suvarnabhumi / 7:45PM – 10:45PM

The airline will operate the flights using Airbus A320-200 aircraft equipped with 180 seats, all in economy class.

Thai VietJet will operate the Taipei – Naha route alongside a variety of airlines including China Airlines, EVA Air, Starlux, Tigerair Taiwan, Peach, Batik Air, Thai AirAsia. The last of those operates the same Bangkok – Naha via Taipei one-stop route, but uses Don Mueang Airport in Bangkok instead of Suvarnabhumi. Thai AirAsia is also the only airline offering non-stop Bangkok – Naha flights.

Currently, Thai VietJet’s Japan network includes Fukuoka served from Bangkok and Osaka Kansai served from Bangkok via Taipei.
