On April 2, 2024, Thai AirAsia launched non-stop flights between Bangkok Don Muang and Naha in Okinawa.

The flights operate four times per week as follows:

  • FD240 / Bangkok Don Muang – Naha / 8:00AM – 2:55PM / Tue, Thu, Sat, Sun
  • FD241 / Naha – Bangkok Don Muang / 3:55PM – 6:50PM / Tue, Thu, Sat, Sun

Thai AirAsia uses its Airbus A320neo aircraft with 186 economy class seats on the route.

The new route is the first non-stop link between Bangkok Dong Muang and Naha. It is also the only non-stop route between Thailand’s capital and Naha at this point. In the past, Japan’s low-cost airline Peach used to fly between Naha and Bangkok Suvarnabhumi.

In June 2024, Thai AirAsia plans to expand its presence in Naha by adding daily fifth-freedom flights from Taipei Taoyuan.
