Thai Airways to expand Bangkok – Nagoya service in October 2024

Thai Airways A350 in Nagoya
Thai Airways’ existing flights to Nagoya are operated by the A350-900.

Starting on October 28, 2024, in the direction from Thailand and a day later in the other direction, Thai Airways will add four extra weekly flights between Bangkok Suvarnabhumi and Nagoya Chubu. It will do so by resuming flights TG646 and TG647 that were last operated before the pandemic.

Once the extra flights are added, the airline will operate 11 weekly flights in each direction as follows:

  • TG644 / Bangkok Suvarnabhumi – Nagoya Chubu / 12:05AM – 7:30AM
  • TG646* / Bangkok Suvarnabhumi – Nagoya Chubu / 11:30AM – 6:55PM / Mon, Wed, Thu, Sat
  • TG647** / Nagoya Chubu – Bangkok Suvarnabhumi / 12:30AM – 5:10AM / Tue, Thu, Fri, Sun
  • TG645 / Nagoya Chubu – Bangkok Suvarnabhumi / 11:00AM – 3:40PM

* Starting on October 28, 2024.
** Starting on October 29, 2024.

While the existing rotation is operated by Airbus A350-900 aircraft, the new service will be operated using the airline’s A330-300s. With that, 294 seats including 31 in business and 263 in economy class will be available on each of the newly added flights.

Unlike before the pandemic when JAL, Thai AirAsia X, and Thai Lion Air also offered flights between Nagoya and Thailand’s capital, Thai Airways is currently the only airline connecting the two cities. That said, Thai AirAsia X is planning to return to Nagoya Chubu, this time from Bangkok Suvarnabhumi Airport as opposed to Don Muang Airport before the pandemic.
