Thai AirAsia will increase the frequency of its Bangkok Don Mueang – Tokyo Narita via Kaohsiung route from the current four weekly rotations to daily from October 27, 2024.

Once the airline adds Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday rotations, the flights will operate daily as follows:

  • FD234 / Bangkok Don Mueang – Kaohsiung / 2:45AM – 7:05AM
  • FD234 / Kaohsiung – Tokyo Narita / 8:05AM – 12:30PM
  • FD235 / Tokyo Narita – Kaohsiung / 1:30PM – 4:55PM
  • FD235 / Kaohsiung – Bangkok Don Mueang / 5:55PM – 8:30PM

Thai AirAsia will continue to use Airbus A320neo aircraft with 186 seats, all in economy class, on the route.

In addition to Thai AirAsia, which has fifth freedom rights on the route, China Airlines, Eva Air, and Tigerair Taiwan also fly between Kaohsiung and Narita.

Thai AirAsia started operating Kaohsiung – Tokyo Narita on June 16, 2024, when it extended its existing route from Bangkok to Kaohsiung.

While the airline will increase Kaohsiung – Narita frequency, it will reduce its other fifth freedom route to Japan, Taipei – Naha from the same date.
