Between February 1 and 29, 2024, passengers traveling from Taipei to 10 Japanese airports including Akita, Asahikawa, Fukushima, Hakodate, Hanamaki, Komatsu, Niigata, Sendai, Takamatsu, and Yamagata will be able to clear immigration at Taoyuan Airport. Upon arrival in Japan, they will be able to enter the country by simply showing their ID without additional formalities.
