Qatar Airways will add four-weekly A350-900 service to Tokyo in addition to its existing daily 777-300ER service.

Qatar Airways will increase the frequency of its Doha – Tokyo Narita route from the current one daily flight to 11 weekly flights from February 14, 2025, in the direction from Doha, the airline announced on August 19, 2024.

To do so, the airline will add a new four-weekly rotation arriving in Tokyo around noon and departing in late afternoon. With that, Qatar Airways will offer the following flights between the two airports:

  • QR806 / Doha – Tokyo Narita / 2:15AM – 5:55PM
  • QR808* / Doha – Tokyo Narita / 8:15PM – 11:55AM+1 / Tue, Wed, Fri, Sun
  • QR809** / Tokyo Narita – Doha / 4:25PM – 11:10PM / Mon, Wed, Thu, Sat
  • QR807 / Tokyo Narita – Doha / 9:55PM – 4:40AM+1

* Starting from February 14, 2025.
** Starting from February 15, 2025.

Qatar Airways will operate the new QR808/QR809 rotation using Airbus A350-900s equipped with QSuites business class. With that, 283 seats including 36 in business and 247 in economy class will be available on each flight.

The existing QR806/QR807 rotation will continue to be operated using the more premium-heavy of the airline’s two QSuites-equipped Boeing 777-300ER configurations. The configuration features 42 business and 312 economy class seats for a total of 354.

Currently, Narita is the only airport in Tokyo served by Qatar Airways. The airline also used to offer daily flights to Tokyo Haneda until the end of March 2024. From April 2024, the Haneda – Doha route has been operated by Qatar Airways’ oneworld alliance partner JAL instead.

In addition to Tokyo, Qatar Airways also serves Osaka Kansai. It resumed the route in March 2024 after an eight-year pause.
