
Lufthansa will its Frankfurt – Tokyo Haneda and Munich – Haneda services from the current daily to five or six weekly depending on the week between late December 2024 and throughout January 2025.
For four weeks starting from December 23, 2024, flights from Frankfurt to Tokyo will operate six times a week. Then, for the last two weeks of January, they will operate five times a week. The schedule will remain as follows:
- LH7161 / Frankfurt – Tokyo Haneda / 2:05PM – 10:45AM+1
- LH7172 / Tokyo Haneda – Frankfurt / 12:35PM – 7:00PM
1 No service on December 23 and 30, 2024, and January 8, 15, 21, 23, 28, and 30, 2025.
2 No service on December 24 and 31, 2024, and January 9, 16, 22, 24, 29, and 31, 2025.
The Munich route will operate six times in the last week of December 2024 and the last week of January 2025. It will operate five times a week during the three weeks between that. The schedule will be as follows:
- LH7141 / Munich – Tokyo Haneda / 12:45PM – 9:05AM+1
- LH7152 / Tokyo Haneda – Munich / 10:45AM – 5:10PM
1 No service on December 30, 2024, and January 7, 9, 14, 16, 20, 22, and 29, 2025.
2 No service on December 31, 2024, and January 8, 10, 15, 17, 21, 23, and 30, 2025.
Lufthansa will continue to use the Boeing 747-8 with eight first, 80 business, 32 premium economy, and 244 economy class seats on the flights from Frankfurt and the A350-900 on the flights from Munich.
In addition to Lufthansa, ANA operates two daily flights from Haneda to Frankfurt and one daily flight from Haneda to Munich while JAL operates one daily flight from Narita to Frankfurt.
Separately from Tokyo, Lufthansa also serves Osaka Kansai out of Munich. However, it will temporarily suspend the route between early January and late February 2025.
