Lufthansa to temporarily suspend Munich – Osaka between early Jan. and late Feb. 2025

Lufthansa will not operate its Munich – Osaka Kansai route between January 5 and February 21, 2025, in the direction from Germany and a day later on both ends in the other direction.

Until January 4, 2025, and for the remainder of the 2024 winter schedule after the brief suspension, the route will continue to operate three times a day as follows:

  • LH742 / Munich – Osaka Kansai / 12:10PM – 8:15AM+1 / Mon, Thu, Sat
  • LH743 / Osaka Kansai – Munich / 10:00AM – 4:30PM / Tue, Fri, Sun

Once the 2025 summer schedule sets in on March 30, 2025, the route will return to daily operation as follows:

  • LH742 / Munich – Osaka Kansai / 12:15PM – 7:15AM+1
  • LH743 / Osaka Kansai – Munich / 9:30AM – 4:45PM

Lufthansa, the only airline flying non-stop between Osaka and Germany, plans to continue operating the route using Airbus A350-900 aircraft with 293 seats including 48 in business, 21 in premium economy, and 224 in economy class.
