On July 18, 2024, South Korean low-cost Jin Air will launch daily flights between Seoul Incheon and Takamatsu. Combined with Air Seoul’s existing daily flights between the two cities, the route will be served twice a day overall.
Jin Air’s new flights will operate as follows from their launch until September 18, 2024:
- LJ359 / Seoul Incheon – Takamatsu / 8:35AM – 10:05AM
- LJ360 / Takamatsu – Seoul Incheon / 11:00AM – 12:50PM
From September 18, 2024, until the end of the 2024 summer schedule (i.e. October 26, 2024), the flights will operate as follows:
- LJ359 / Seoul Incheon – Takamatsu / 12:05PM – 1:30PM
- LJ360 / Takamatsu – Seoul Incheon / 2:30PM – 4:20PM
The 2024 winter schedule has not been announced yet.
Jin Air will use Boeing 737-800s equipped with 189 economy class seats on the flights.
While initially, the flight times of Jin Air’s and Air Seoul’s flights will mostly overlap, once Jin Air’s flights are moved to the afternoon, passengers will have more flexibility when planning their trips between the two cities.
Jin Air currently serves eight destinations in Japan ranging from Sapporo in the north all the way to Naha and Shimojishima in Okinawa. Shimojishima, having been launched in May of this year, is, in fact, the airline’s latest destination in Japan.
