Today, March 31, 2024, South Korean low-cost airline Jin Air resumed flights between Busan and Naha. The airline was originally planning 2023 winter schedule resumption, however, it was unable to do so due to a staff shortage in Naha.

From now on, the route will operate daily with the following schedule:

  • LJ371 / Busan – Naha / 8:05AM – 10:00AM
  • LJ372 / Naha – Busan / 11:00AM – 1:05PM

The Busan – Naha service is operated using Jin Air’ Boeing 737-800s with 189 seats in economy class.

Jin Air already serves Naha from Seoul Incheon daily. With that, the Busan route resumption will mean a doubling of capacity the airline will offer to the capital of Okinawa, from one daily 737-800 flight to two.

Recently, Jin Air also announced plans to launch flights from Seoul to Shimojishima, which will be its second destination in Okinawa and eighth in Japan overall.

Additionally, the airline also flies from Seoul and Busan to Sapporo New Chitose, Tokyo Narita, Osaka Kansai, and Fukuoka. From Seoul, it also serves Nagoya Chubu and Kitakyushu.

No other airline offers non-stop flights between Naha and Busan.
