South Korean low-cost Jeju Air will resume flights between Seoul Incheon and Kagoshima from September 14, 2024. The route, which was last operated in March 2019, will operate three times a week with the following schedule:
- Seoul Incheon – Kagoshima / 12:40PM – 2:30PM / Tue, Thu, Sat
- Kagoshima – Seoul Incheon / 3:30PM – 5:20PM / Tue, Thu, Sat
The route was operated three times per week before being suspended due to worsening Japan-South Korea relations in early 2019. Like before, Jeju Air will use Boeing 737-800 aircraft with 189 seats (all economy class) on the route.
Jeju Air will be the second airline serving the route. Korean Air resumed flights between Seoul and Kagoshima at the end of October 2023. While currently the flights operate three times per week, from September 2024, the frequency will increase to five weekly roundtrips.
Kagoshima will be Jeju Air’s 10th destination in Japan, following Fukuoka, Hiroshima, Matsuyama, Nagoya Chubu, Naha, Oita, Osaka Kansai, Sapporo New Chitose, and Tokyo Narita.
