JAL adds six seasonal domestic routes to Hokkaido until late August 2024

JAL uses the 737-800 on most of the routes.

Last week, JAL added six seasonal routes between Hokkaido and other parts of Japan that will operate until the end of August. Those include routes connecting Sapporo with Izumo and Tokushima, Memanbetsu and Asahikawa with Osaka, and Obihiro and Kushiro with Nagoya.

The Sapporo – Izumo route operate four times a week between August 2 and 30, 2024, as follows:

  • JL3426 / Sapporo New Chitose – Izumo / 12:20PM – 2:15PM / Mon, Wed, Fri, Sun
  • JL3421 / Izumo – Sapporo New Chitose / 2:55PM – 4:50PM / Mon, Wed, Fri, Sun

The Sapporo – Tokushima route will operate three times a week between August 1 and 31, 2024, as follows:

  • JL3436 / Sapporo New Chitose – Tokushima / 12:00PM – 2:00PM / Tue, Thu, Sat
  • JL3437 / Tokushima – Sapporo New Chitose / 3:00PM – 5:05PM / Tue, Thu, Sat

The Osaka – Memanbetsu route will operate daily between July 26 and August 31, 2024, as follows:

  • JL2101 / Osaka Itami – Memanbetsu / 8:40AM – 10:45AM
  • JL2102 / Memanbetsu – Osaka Itami / 11:20AM – 1:30PM

The Osaka – Asahikawa route will operate daily between August 1 and 31, 2024, as follows:

  • JL2111 / Osaka Itami – Asahikawa / 7:15AM – 9:10AM
  • JL2112 / Asahikawa – Osaka Itami / 9:50AM – 11:50AM

The Nagoya – Obihiro route will operate four times a week between August 2 and 30, 2024, as follows:

  • JL3303 / Nagoya Chubu – Obihiro / 12:05PM – 1:50PM / Mon, Wed, Fri, Sun
  • JL3304 / Obihiro – Nagoya Chubu / 2:30PM – 4:20PM / Mon, Wed, Fri, Sun

Lastly, the Nagoya – Kushiro route will operate three times a week between August 1 and 31, 2024, as follows:

  • JL3131 / Nagoya Chubu – Kushiro / 11:20AM – 1:10PM / Tue, Thu, Sat
  • JL3132 / Kushiro – Nagoya Chubu / 2:30PM – 4:20PM / Tue, Thu, Sat

The Osaka – Memanbetsu route is being operated by JAL’s regional subsidiary J-Air using Embraer E190 aircraft with 95 seats including 15 in Class J and 80 in economy class. The remaining routes are operated using Boeing 737-800s aircraft with 165 seats including 20 in Class J and 145 in economy class.

JAL’s seasonal flights are the only non-stop service on all of the routes.

In addition to the flights to Hokkaido, JAL also started operating a seasonal Osaka – Matsumoto route at the beginning of August.
