Between August 1 and 31, 2024, JAL will offer daily flights between Osaka Itami and Matsumoto operated by its regional subsidiary J-Air. The flights will operate as follows:
- JL2271 / Osaka Itami – Matsumoto / 11:10AM – 12:00PM
- JL2272 / Matsumoto – Osaka Itami / 12:30PM – 1:25PM
J-Air will operate the flights using Embraer E170 aircraft equipped with 76 seats, all in economy class.
JAL will be the only airline to offer flights between the two cities, with the only public transport alternatives being buses and trains, which take over three hours as opposed to the one-hour flights.
The airline has been offering seasonal flights on the route operating daily in August for at least the last ten years.
