Hawaiian Airlines to increase Honolulu – Fukuoka frequency from August 2024

Hawaiian Airlines A330
All of Hawaiian Airlines’ flights to Japan are operated by the A330-200.

From the beginning of August 2024, Hawaiian Airlines will increase the number of flights between Honolulu and Fukuoka from the current three weekly to four weekly.

With that, the route will operate as follows:

  • HA827 / Honolulu – Fukuoka / 2:10PM – 6:40PM+1 / Tue, Wed*, Fri, Sun
  • HA828 / Fukuoka – Honolulu / 8:40PM – 10:15AM / Mon, Wed, Thu*, Sat

* Frequency to be added from August 2024.

Hawaiian Airlines will continue to use its Airbus A330-200 aircraft with 278 seats split between 18 in business and 260 in economy class (including 68 with extra legroom).

The airline originally launched flights to Fukuoka in April 2012 before suspending them at the end of June 2014. The flights were then briefly resumed on November 26, 2019, before being terminated in March 2020 due to the pandemic. After the pandemic, Hawaiian Airlines returned to Fukuoka with three weekly flights at the end of April 2023.

In addition to Fukuoka, Hawaiian Airlines also serves Tokyo Haneda, Tokyo Narita, and Osaka Kansai. That said, it is planning to scale down its presence at Tokyo Haneda later this year.
