Eastar Jet becomes sixth airline operating Seoul Incheon – Naha route

Eastar Jet 737 MAX 8
Eastar Jet operated its inaugural flight to Naha using the 737-8.

Eastar Jet launched flights between Seoul Incheon and Naha in Okinawa today, July 19, 2024. Going forward, the airline will connect the two airports daily as follows:

  • ZE631 / Seoul Incheon – Naha / 7:30AM – 10:00AM
  • ZE632 / Naha – Seoul Incheon / 11:30AM – 2:00PM

Eastar Jet operated the first rotation using Boeing 737-8 registered HL8541. While it is not clear whether the same type or the older 737-800 will operate the route going forward, both aircraft are equipped with 189 seats (all economy class).

Five other airlines, all South Korean, operate Naha – Seoul Incheon flights. Both of the country’s biggest airlines – Korean Air and Asiana, as well as low-costs including Jeju Air, Jin Air, and T’Way serve the route.

In addition to Naha, Eastar Jet also serves Tokyo Narita, Osaka Kansai, Fukuoka, and Sapporo New Chitose. The airline resumed service to the last of those earlier this month with five weekly flights from Seoul Incheon.
