On July 1, 2024, South Korean low-cost airline Eastar Jet resumed scheduled flights between Seoul Incheon and Sapporo New Chitose. The flights will operate five times a week until September 30, 2024, as follows:
- ZE621 / Seoul Incheon – Sapporo New Chitose / 7:40AM – 10:20AM
- ZE622 / Sapporo New Chitose – Seoul Incheon / 11:20AM -2:10PM
The first flight was operated by a Boeing 737 MAX 8 registered HL8542 and going forward the route will be operated by the type as well. With that, Eastar Jet will offer 189 economy class seats on each flight.
The resumption marks Eastar Jet’s return to Sapporo for the first time in approximately four years. In addition to serving the airport from Seoul until the pandemic brought the industry to a halt, the airline also served the airport from Busan and Cheongju until late 2019. Separately from the new flight to Sapporo, Eastar Jet also serves Tokyo Narita, Osaka Kansai, and Fukuoka.
Eastar Jet is the seventh airline to connect Sapporo with Seoul following Korean Air, Asiana Airlines, Air Busan, Jeju Air, Jin Air, and T’Way.
