China Southern to resume Guangzhou – Nagoya Chubu in mid-December 2024

China Southern will use the A320 on the Guangzhou – Nagoya route.

China Southern Airlines will resume flights between Guangzhou and Nagoya Chubu on December 20, 2024. From then on, the route will operate daily as follows:

  • CZ6505 / Guangzhou – Nagoya Chubu / 9:05AM – 1:45PM
  • CZ6506 / Nagoya Chubu – Guangzhou / 3:00PM – 7:05PM

It plans to operate the route using Airbus A320-200 aircraft with 152 seats including eight in business and 144 in economy class.

Currently, there are no non-stop flights between the two cities. China Southern previously served the route until February 2020 when it suspended it due to the pandemic. Nagoya Chubu will be the third airport in Japan that the airline will connect with Guangzhou after Tokyo Narita and Osaka Kansai (to increase to double daily from October 27, 2024).

China Southern already serves Nagoya Chubu out of Dalian and Shenyang. Prior to the pandemic, the airline also connected the Japanese airport with Shanghai Pudong, Changchun, Changsha, and Wuhan.
