The Hefei – Osaka route will be operated by Airbus A320 aircraft.

On July 28, 2024, China Eastern Airlines will relaunch flights between Hefei in East China’s Anhui Province and Osaka Kansai. The airline previously operated the route until 2012. This time around, the flights will operate four times per week as follows:

  • MU5077 / Hefei – Osaka Kansai / 10:45AM – 2:30PM / Mon, Wed, Fri, Sun
  • MU5078 / Osaka Kansai – Hefei / 3:30PM – 5:25PM / Mon, Wed, Fri, Sun

Currently, the flights are available for sale through the end of the 2024 summer schedule (i.e. the last flight that can be booked is the October 25, 2024, roundtrip). Whether they will continue to operate with the same frequency during the 2024 winter schedule and beyond is unclear.

China Eastern will use Airbus A320 aircraft equipped with 158 seats including eight in business and 150 in economy class on the route. It will be the only airline to connect the two cities.

In addition to Hefei, China Eastern also plans to resume flights between Osaka and Ningbo at the end of July. Currently, it serves Kansai out of Beijing Daxing and Shanghai Pudong.
