ANA revealed that some of its staff in Okinawa cheated on their exams.

In February 2024, both ANA and JAL announced that some of their subsidiaries’ staff cheated on exams that need to be passed in order to drive within Haneda Airport’s secure area. On March 5, 2024, ANA announced it found out some of its ANA Okinawa Airport subsidiary staff cheated on similar exams too.

According to ANA, between April and December 2023, an exam supervisor allowed 11 ANA Okinawa Airport staff members to take their exams with open textbooks. ANA Okinawa Airport is the airline’s subsidiary providing ground handling and operations services at Naha, Ishigaki, and Miyako airports in Okinawa Prefecture.

ANA also revised the number of test takers at its ANA Airport Services subsidiary that cheated. Previously reported as 72, the number has now been increased to 74.
