Air Canada plans frequency increase on seasonal Vancouver – Osaka route

Air Canada will operate a seasonal Vancouver – Osaka route between May 1 and October 25, 2024, in the direction to Japan and a day later in the other direction using Boeing 787-8 aircraft. The airline increased the number of planned frequencies from June 18, 2024, from the originally planned four to six.

The route will operate with the following schedule:

  • AC23 / Vancouver – Osaka Kansai / 1:25PM – 4:20PM+1 / Mon, Tue*, Wed, Thu*, Fri, Sat*
  • AC24 / Osaka Kansai – Vancouver / 6:00PM – 11:25AM / Tue, Wed*, Thu, Fri*, Sat, Sun*

* Frequencies to be added from June 18, 2024.

There will be no flights from Vancouver to Osaka Kansai on August 7 and September 16, 2024, and from Osaka Kansai to Vancouver on August 8 and September 17, 2024.

Air Canada will offer 298 seats on each flight including 30 in business, 21 in premium economy, and 247 in economy class.

No other airline offers a non-stop connection between Osaka and Vancouver. Air Canada plans to launch Toronto – Osaka Kansai route later this year.
