Air Canada to operate Toronto – Osaka Kansai from June 2024

Air Canada 787-8
Air Canada will use the 787-8 on the Toronto – Osaka route.

Air Canada will expand its presence in Osaka by adding three weekly flights from Toronto Pearson starting on June 17, 2024, in the direction to Japan and a day later in the other direction. The flights will be operated by Boeing 787-8 aircraft.

Like the airline’s Vancouver – Osaka route, the Toronto – Osaka route will be seasonal. It will operate until October 25, 2024, in the direction to Japan and a day later in the other direction. The schedule will be as follows:

  • AC59 / Toronto Pearson – Osaka Kansai / 2:00PM – 5:35PM+1 / Mon, Wed, Fri
  • AC60 / Osaka Kansai – Toronto Pearson / 7:05PM – 7:00PM / Tue, Thu, Sat

Air Canada will offer 255 seats on each flight including 20 in business, 21 in premium economy, and 214 in economy class.

Originally, Air Canada planned to relaunch the route, which it previously served between 1997 and 2000, in April 2023. Currently, no other airlines are flying non-stop between Osaka and Toronto. That said, as mentioned above, Air Canada offers seasonal service between Vancouver and Osaka.
