Air Busan will increase the frequency of its flights between Busan and Matsuyama to six weekly starting from October 27, 2024. The route was launched in November 2023 with three weekly flights and will increase to five weekly from September 16, 2024.
From the 2024 winter schedule, it will operate as follows:
- BX134 / Busan – Matsuyama / 4:35PM – 5:40PM / Tue, Wed, Thu, Fri, Sat, Sun
- BX133 / Matsuyama – Busan / 6:35PM – 7:55PM / Tue, Wed, Thu, Fri, Sat, Sun
Air Busan uses all-economy class 220-seater Airbus A320-200s on the route.
It is the only airline connecting the two cities and one of three airlines offering international flights to Matsuyama. Besides Air Busan’s flights from Busan, Jeju Air flies to Matsuyama from Seoul Incheon and EVA Air from Taipei. Both the Jeju Air and EVA Air routes resumed in March 2024 after a pause caused by the pandemic. China Eastern, which served Matsuyama from Shanghai before the pandemic, has not resumed service to the Japanese airport yet.
