In addition to regular scheduled flights, Taiwan’s Tigerair also operates scheduled charters to Japan. The airline will extend the operation of two such routes, Taipei Taoyuan to Kochi and Fukushima, through the end of the 2024 summer schedule (October 26, 2024).
The Taipei Taoyuan – Kochi route has been in service since May 2023 and in November 2023, Tigerair started direct sales of tickets on the flights in addition to sales through tour operators.
During the 2024 summer schedule, the route will operate using Airbus A320-200 aircraft as follows:
- IT8752 / Taipei Taoyuan – Fukushima / 07:35 AM – 11:40 AM / Tue, Fri
- IT8753 / Fukushima – Taipei Taoyuan / 12:30 PM – 3:40 PM / Tue, Fri
The Taipei Taoyuan – Kochi route is operated using the A320-200 too but is not sold to the general public at this point, instead only being offered as part of tour packages sold by HIS and other tour operators.
During the 2024 summer schedule, the route will operate as follows:
- IT250 / Taipei Taoyuan – Kochi / 8:40 AM – 12:00 PM / Wed, Sat
- IT251 / Kochi – Taipei Taoyuan / 2:00 PM – 3:30 PM / Wed, Sat
Currently, there are no other flights between the two Japanese airports and Taipei Taoyuan.
