Thai Airways to more than halve Bangkok – Sapporo frequency in May 2024

Thai Airways 787-9 in Sapporo
Thai Airways sends its 787-9s to Sapporo.

Currently, Thai Airways connects Bangkok Suvarnabhumi with Sapporo New Chitose daily. From May 1, 2024, it will reduce the frequency to three weekly flights.

With that, the flights will operate as follows:

  • TG670 / Bangkok Suvarnabhumi – Sapporo New Chitose / 11:45PM – 8:30AM+1 / Tue, Thu, Sat
  • TG671 / Sapporo New Chitose – Bangkok Suvarnabhumi / 10:00AM – 3:00PM / Wed, Fri, Sun

The flights will continue to be operated by Thai Airways’ Boeing 787-9s with 298 seats including 30 in business and 268 in economy class.

While currently, Thai AirAsia X offers flights between Bangkok and Sapporo too, those will be discontinued for at least the remainder of the summer schedule starting from May 2024 as well.

In addition to Sapporo, Thai Airways also serves Tokyo Haneda and Tokyo Narita (five times a day combined), Osaka Kansai (double daily), Nagoya Chubu (daily), and Fukuoka (daily).
