Thai AirAsia X to increase Bangkok – Tokyo Narita to triple daily from early March 2025

Thai AirAsia X operates a fleet of Airbus A330-300s.

Starting from March 2, 2025, Thai AirAsia X will increase the frequency of its flights between Bangkok Don Mueang and Tokyo Narita from the current 18 weekly to triple daily. The airline will add Wednesday, Friday, and Sunday frequencies to its redeye rotation out of Bangkok (XJ602/XJ603) and operate the route as follows:

  • XJ602 / Bangkok Don Mueang – Tokyo Narita / 2:40AM – 10:45AM
  • XJ606 / Bangkok Don Mueang – Tokyo Narita / 11:55AM – 8:00PM
  • XJ600 / Bangkok Don Mueang – Tokyo Narita / 11:55PM – 8:00AM+1
  • XJ601 / Tokyo Narita – Bangkok Don Mueang / 9:15AM – 2:40PM
  • XJ603 / Tokyo Narita – Bangkok Don Mueang / 12:10PM – 5:35PM
  • XJ607 / Tokyo Narita – Bangkok Don Mueang / 9:15PM – 2:40AM+1

Thai AirAsia X will continue to use Airbus A330-300, the sole aircraft type in its fleet, on the route. It operates the type in two configurations: an all-economy class 367-seater and a 377-seater with 12 “Premium Flatbed” and 365 economy class seats.

Separately from Thai AirAsia X, Thai Lion Air flies between Don Mueang and Narita six times a week. Thai Airways, JAL, and ANA connect Narita and Haneda with Bangkok Suvarnabhumi multiple times a day, and ZIPAIR flies between Narita and Suvarnabhumi daily.

Narita is one of Thai AirAsia X’s four destinations in Japan alongside Osaka Kansai, Nagoya Chubu, and Sapporo New Chitose (seasonal, winter-only).
