Starlux to upgauge Taipei – Sendai and Fukuoka to A330neo from 2024 winter schedule

Starlux A330-900
The A330-900 is one of the two widebody types operated by Starlux Airlines.

Starlux Airlines will upgauge its flights from Taipei to Sendai and Fukuoka from the current Airbus A321neo to the A330-900 starting from October 27, 2024. The flights operated by the A330neo will not only offer more seats but also increased comfort, particularly in business class.

As of the time of publishing this article, Starlux’s daily Taipei – Sendai rotation is scheduled to be operated by the A330-900 every day until March 29, 2025, i.e., the end of the 2024 winter schedule. The widebody type will be used on the daily Fukuoka route every day until November 29, 2024, and four times a week (excluding Mondays, Thursday, and Saturdays) until March 29, 2025.

Starlux’s A330-900s are equipped with a total of 297, 109 more than the A321neo’s 188 seats. The former has 28 seats in business and 269 seats in economy class as opposed to the latter’s eight and 180. In terms of onboard comfort, the A330neo is equipped with staggered full-flat seats, each offering direct aisle access, as opposed to the A321neo’s full-flat seats in a 2-2 layout.
