StarFlyer currently operats one A320neo in addition to its A320ceos.

On May 23, 2024, StarFlyer announced it will lease up to five Airbus A320neos from ANA Holdings. Aircraft included in this board decision include three firm orders and two options and will be used for replacing A320-200s the airline will be returning to lessors. The contract is expected to be finalized in mid-August 2024.

StarFlyer plans to take delivery of the first three aircraft, which it will lease for 12 years, in October 2026, November 2027, and February 2028. If it exercises the options, it expects to receive the two additional airframes in February 2027 and February 2028. The lease period for the two aircraft has not been decided yet but is likely to be 12 years as well.

StarFlyer’s upcoming contract with ANA Holdings follows the airline’s November 2020 contract with SMBC Aviation Capital for the same number of A320neos. Once the contract with ANA Holdings is finalized, StarFlyer will have signed lease contracts for a total of up to 10 A320neos including six firm orders and four options.

The airline took delivery of the first Airbus A320neo leased from SMBC Aviation Capital in July 2023 and expects the next two in September 2024 and September 2025 respectively. In addition to the single A320neo, it currently also operates a fleet of 10 A320-200 aircraft. Earlier this year, it signed a contract with MRO Japan for end-of-lease maintenance in preparation for returning some of its A320-200s to lessors.
