Spring Airlines uses the A320 on both routes.

At the beginning of April 2024, the Chinese low-cost Spring Airlines increased the frequency of its Shanghai Pudong – Saga route from two to three weekly rotations. In late April 2024, it also plans to increase Shanghai Pudong – Nagoya Chubu from three weekly to daily flights.

Since the extra frequency was added on April 3, 2024, the Saga route has been operating as follows:

  • 9C6139 / Shanghai Pudong – Saga / 8:15AM – 11:10AM / Mon, Wed*, Fri
  • 9C6140 / Saga – Shanghai Pudong / 12:10PM – 1:15PM / Mon, Wed*, Fri

* New frequency.

Spring Airlines is the only airline offering non-stop flights on the route. Post-pandemic, the airline resumed the flights with three weekly rotations in early September 2023, however, it reduced the frequency to two weekly rotations at the end of October 2023.

As for the Nagoya route, Spring Airlines currently operates one rotation each Wednesday, Friday, and Sunday. From April 27, 2024, the flights will operate daily as follows:

  • 9C8601 / Shanghai Pudong – Nagoya Chubu / 11:00AM – 2:25PM
  • 9C8602 / Nagoya Chubu – Shanghai Pudong / 3:25PM – 5:15PM

Multiple other airlines offer service on the route, including JAL, Air China, China Eastern Airlines, Shanghai Airlines, and Juneyao Air.

Spring briefly also operated flights between Dalian and Nagoya Chubu from late November 2023 until the beginning of March 2024. Currently, however, Shanghai Pudong is the only destination served by the airline out of the airport.
