From August 1, 2024, Spring Japan will increase the frequency of its flights between Tokyo Narita and Shanghai Pudong from the current daily to up to three flights a day, the airline announced on July 23, 2024.

With that, the airline will offer the following flights between the two cities from August 1, 2024, up to the end of the 2024 summer schedule (October 26, 2024), for the time being:

Like the airline’s newly announced flights to Beijing, the two new rotations from Tokyo to Shanghai will be operated by Spring Japan’s aircraft and crew under wet lease agreement with its parent JAL. As such, Spring Japan flights IJ3/IJ4 will technically be codeshares of JAL flights JL8695/JL8696, and IJ5/IJ6 of JL8799 and JL8790.

Spring Japan will use its 189-seater all-economy class Boeing 737-800s on the flights.
