On July 1, 2024, Spring Japan announced its cabin crew will wear revamped uniforms from August 1, 2024. The day the new uniforms will be introduced coincides with the airline’s 10th anniversary of operations.
Flight attendants will have multiple options when choosing the way they want to wear the uniform. Women will have the choice between a dress, a blouse with pants, and a blouse with a skirt. The men’s uniform will consist of a three-piece suit, i.e. pants, a vest, and a jacket. One of the lapels on both the women’s jacket and the men’s vest and jacket will be of a lighter color than the piece’s remainder.
Spring Airlines partnered with Uniform-Net and Karsee on the design and production of the uniforms.
The airline, which is a joint venture between JAL (66.7%) and the Chinese low-cost Spring Airlines (33.3%), launched operations on August 1, 2014, with flights from Tokyo Narita to Hiroshima, Takamatsu, and Saga. Currently, it offers flights from Tokyo Narita to Sapporo, Hiroshima, and a number of destinations in China.
